Touch Typing
Touch typing is a method of using familiar finger positions and keyboard movement so that you can type without repeatedly looking down to find each key.
Start With Familiar Key Positions
The home row provides a consistent resting position. Learning a smaller group of keys first can make later keyboard movement easier to understand.
Add Keyboard Rows Gradually
After the home-row keys become familiar, practise the top and bottom rows in small groups instead of trying to memorise the full keyboard at once.
Keep Your Attention on the Text
The goal is to let finger movement become familiar enough that your eyes can remain on the text you are reading or producing.
